Going Green

This year LHIMA has decided to try “Going Green” in respect to our speaker programs. The speaker presentations that were sent to us in electronic format have been posted on the website with password protection under “Convention Files”. This way each individual can go on and print out the presentation handouts if they feel that is necessary to have those in front of them during the session. The program will not have these powerpoint handouts, but it will still include information and times on each session, as well as a front/back note page for each speaker so that you can take notes. The speaker handouts will still be available on the website after Convention until June 1st.

If you have not registered for the convention, you will not be able to access the presentations. If you registered between April 7th- today, don’t try accessing them until Monday, your access still needs to be entered. This effort will reduce the number of pages in the program, hence making your bag lighter, and we will be Saving Trees!

Now Here’s the Good part – We will also have a “Going Green” Contest! If there is anything that you see during the Convention that we can do differently or if you have an idea on taking another step in “Going Green” for next year,(starting next week) you will be able to go on the website and tell us your idea. If we use your idea next year, you will receive 50% off your registration for next year’s Convention in Alexandria.

We’d like to welcome you to our newly redesigned website. We’ve been hard at work on the new site and hope that your find your experience with it both user friendly and enjoyable.

Our goal with the redesign of our website was to make the information that we give to you easier to find and more timely. If you have any questions or comments about the site in general, or anything in particular, please let us know.

A number of pages are still in progress, but visit the site frequently as more content about our activities will become available.

LHIMA is a component state Association of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA ). There are approximately 50,000 members in AHIMA and Louisiana’s association has approximately 800 members.

The site has been newly redesigned as you can see.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry.
